About

Metro Newspaper is a free online newspaper that launched in Nelson Mandela Bay in January, with an average monthly readership of between 10,000 and 12,000 unique readers.

Founded by DSC Media, Metro is not just another community blog, but a quality, high end news source providing local, national and international news, as well as coverage of arts, entertainment and sports.

The site is fully integrated with social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Linked in, and has also recently launched a mobile platform, with mobile devices accounting for roughly 1/3 of all visits to the site.

Content is also distributed through a daily e-mail newsletter, which is provided to readers at their choice of 6am, 8am and 1pm.
