A truck driver had to be cut free from the cabin of his truck after apparently losing control of the vehicle yesterday afternoon.
The driver, who was transporting bags of animal feed, appeared to have lost control of the vehicle on the N2 Blue Horizon Bay turnoff shortly after 4pm yesterday afternoon.
Guardmed Ambulance Services were the first on the scene and stabilised the driver until the fire brigade and Metro Rescue could arrive to cut him free using the jaws of life.
The driver was then taken to hospital by Guardmed, where he was said to be in a stable condition. The truck was removed by Precision Towin.
